Biography

Heyo! Thanks for visiting my site and making it to this page. I'm not into talking about myself in third person, but I will tell you a little bit about myself. I was born into the Y Generation, a time full of vast opportunity and life-changing technical innovations. I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada surrounded by loving family, friends and more opportunities than I could ever dream of. I'm still dreaming. From a young age I developed a strong passion for entertainment and culture, something which was pretty unavoidable for our generation. I took an interest in finding different ways to tell stories, whether it was from a KidPix pixel drawing or a poorly acted garage play production. Inspired by stories through books, music, film and television I knew that there would be a place for me in this world.

During high school I became an Editor for the Yearbook Committee and was elected for Student Council President. (I didn't realize how nerdy this was at the time.) During my last semester I did a Co-Op term at Rogers Television filming a live morning show everyday. These experiences helped shaped and strengthen my passion and skills for digital storytelling, collaboration and working with a team. In 2007 I left my small town to head to the big city to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Ryerson University. When I wasn't in class or exploring the city I spent my time interning. In the summer after first year I was Production Assistant at Ruckus Revolver films. I had the opportunity to work in the office and on-set working on commercial and music video productions. The summer after that I was an intern at TVGuide.ca where I wrote television reviews, previews, features and exclusive interviews. I basically watched TV and wrote about it, it was a dream come true. In 2010 I jetted off to Perth, Australia for a semester abroad for an incredible learning experience.

After graduating in June 2011 I immediately went to work at Sympatico.ca as an Online Content Associate. I spent my time working with some great people to create top-performing content for Canada's largest portal. In 2012 I joined the ranks of generation jobless and began to carve out a new path for myself. I jumped into the world of freelancing, polishing my skills as a writer, designer and developer.

I am always eager to learn as much as possible and soak in every single opportunity, big or small. I believe that, "Life is short and opportunities are rare and we have to be vigilant in protecting them and not only the opportunities to succeed but the opportunities to laugh and see the enchantment in the world and to live, because life doesn't owe us anything. As a matter of fact, I think that we owe something to the world."

Thanks for making it to the end!
